A New Adventure

Some movies give us the sense of visiting an old friend. The familiar soundtrack and landscapes set the mood and one can’t help but feel…connected to the story. That’s how it feels to revisit Tolkien’s universe. Despite being a prequel, The Hobbit brings back some of the cast of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and explain how Bilbo Baggins came across the ring. The story, though, is not about rings this time. It’s about gold, and a kingdom lost to a greedy dragon. Bilbo’s first adventure outside The Shire is to help Thorin, the Dwarf King, to defeat Smaug, the dragon, and reclaim his throne.
